Dear Lynndyl,
As many of you are aware, we’ve had issues with the town water system. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. To reassure everyone, our wells are not dry. We have plenty of water and the issues were electrical and mechanical. We have received funding to update the current system we are on. We also just received a grant/loan funding to drill a new well and install a new system
for the well. This will greatly help the town’s future and has been in the works for several years.
As the 4th of July is here, please use common sense when lighting fireworks. Have a garden hose or bucket of water ready. We strongly encourage everyone to please light your fireworks over at the park on the gravel. We will have a water truck for emergencies. If the wind is blowing, please DO NOT light any fireworks.
The new fire station is getting close to completion. We are waiting for Rocky Mountain power to finish the hook ups as well as other minor details. The new playground at the park is hoped to be installed as soon as we can coordinate enough people to help install it. If you are willing to help, please reach out to a council member. Enjoy your summer!
Mayor Briar Proctor
